INCLEMENT WEATHER NOTICE

Our office follows the Lake Washington School District closure and late-start schedules when the area is experiencing heavy snowfall or other inclement weather; we also monitor surrounding school districts’ schedules to ensure that we are considerate of our wide-range of patients. On the days in which we decide to close the office or have a 2-hour delay in opening (9:30am start), we will have someone from the office call first thing in the morning to let you know. We strive to keep the safety of our patients in mind at all times!

Cosmetic Crowns

Porcelain Dental Crowns in Our Redmond, WA Dental Office

In addition to the information found of the crown page, crowns are used in cosmetic dentistry.  They are the best option when the tooth is heavily damaged or when a veneer will not bond well.  The newer, all porcelain crowns are my first choice because they look the most natural tooth and will not result in a dark line if the gums recede.

When Do I Need Cosmetic Crowns?

  • Filling in gaps between teeth,
  • Covering severely discolored teeth,
  • Making crooked teeth appear straight,
  • Lengthening worn teeth.

Process

Our office will continue to work with you until you are happy with the look of your new crown.  At the first appointment, we routinely take pictures of the surrounding teeth and send them to the lab with your case.   This gives our technician much more information and results in a better matching shade. Prior to cementing, you will have a chance to look the new crown over and decide if it is right for you.  In some cases, I even cement the crown with temporary cement and let the patient evaluate it for several days before permanent cementation.
