Missing Teeth Replacement in Our Redmond, WA Dental Office
Dentures, or plates, are one of the options available to replace missing teeth. They typically cost less than other choices like bridges or implants, but are just as natural-looking. Dentures are removable, so they can be taken out of the mouth to clean or repair and then put back.
Types of Dentures
The two main types are complete dentures, sometimes called full dentures, and partial dentures. Complete dentures are used when no teeth are present. Partial dentures fill in between the remaining healthy teeth and use clasps to wrap around these teeth to help hold the denture in place.
In order to make these appliances correctly, it usually takes several appointments. During these appointments, I will use a “mock up” denture to try out and adjust to so that the final product will look exactly the way you want.
Tired of unsightly silver clasps on your partial denture? Ask about gum colored clasp dentures now available.
Are your dentures loose? You may need a simple procedure called a reline to make them fit better. Mini implants are another option to make your denture stay in place better. These variations of the traditional implants don’t cost as much and don’t require the healing time that the larger implants do.
