Dr. Richard Van Der Sluys received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Bowling Green State University and graduated from the Ohio State University School of Dentistry in 1992 with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Since that time, he has worked in a variety of settings in Ohio before moving to the Pacific Northwest in 1999. His professional collaborations have enabled him to draw on the experiences of the many different colleagues he has worked with.
Dr. Van Der Sluys is committed to providing the best care possible by staying up-to-date on the latest advances in dentistry. His primary continuing education interest is refining his skills at seminars dealing with disease prevention, cosmetic, and restorative topics. This combined with his history of working with many other dentists has given him the experience to provide a broad range of treatment options.
Professional Affiliations
Dr. Van Der Sluys and his wife, Lisa, have two boys, Austin and Justin, and a black lab named Midnight. In his free time he enjoys the great outdoors through skiing, fishing, diving, and hiking. He also has been a Cub Scout den leader.
