INCLEMENT WEATHER NOTICE

Our office follows the Lake Washington School District closure and late-start schedules when the area is experiencing heavy snowfall or other inclement weather; we also monitor surrounding school districts’ schedules to ensure that we are considerate of our wide-range of patients. On the days in which we decide to close the office or have a 2-hour delay in opening (9:30am start), we will have someone from the office call first thing in the morning to let you know. We strive to keep the safety of our patients in mind at all times!

Night Guards

Custom Dental Night Guards in Redmond, Washington

Night guards have an important role in protecting and stabilizing teeth.  Many people grind or clench their teeth while they sleep.  Also called bruxism, this habit wears down teeth and may also chip or break them.  Bruxism can also cause headaches and/or pain in the temporal mandibular joint (TMJ).

Types of Night Guards

There are two main types of night guards that we make.  The first one looks like a horse shoe and covers all of the teeth.  It does a great job of protecting the teeth from wear and also can stabilize mobile teeth.  Another option is called an NTI.  It is much smaller and does the same job of protecting the teeth.  In addition to this, it can prevent headaches sometimes confused as migraines.
